Social Butterflies

Social Butterflies

A Poem by Patricia Wedel
"

Feeder talk and romance... singing songs of unbridled love...

"
Tufted Titmice join the flights of chickadees and nuthatches
in the winter months of snow and berries where romance presides...
It grabs one kiss and seed and flies away to another branch and
then returns for another delicious kiss and seed...
and so it goes where they belt out their recognizable
peter-peter-peter song...

I've never been a bird-watcher, but your writing puts me right in the middle of it, with all the sensory stimulation! Just yesterday I noticed the birds following me as I hand-water . . . must cause bugs to surface, which the birds scarf up. There's so much to see in the tiny lives of birds that I hadn't noticed before in my life. I love the way you can bring this all alive in words (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

A fitting title and content. Moving around and about. Sharing loveliness and joy. Inoculating against wear, tear and boredom. Such things we look for and recognize in the magic of the seasons...Bravo, Pat...:).......

All true. Welcome more...:))))
Such a sweet mingling of romance and nature in this write, Pat. The birds kiss and then move on...much the same as humans do. A bit "flighty"...pardon the pun! :) I could hear the song the birds were singing here. Lovely write. Lydi**

yes, the birds sing of love, just like humans...but they also sing of moving on, just like humans do...

we are flighty with love, much too often...and we don't even have wings.
