This is a beautiful story in verse. I am in awe of the way you can write about so many different aspects of nature. And here, you link it back to the harshness of everyday life, which has grown even more crazy since you wrote & posted this. Such a gentle & relaxing way of perceiving our natural surroundings is a huge breath of fresh air, in our currently chaotic world. That's why I live in the boondocks, enjoying many of the things you celebrate in verse, & letting the free spirit of the outdoors inspire my writing. I can really feel your point of view (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

Nature is indeed the great leveller and perhaps these so called 'leaders' should take a leaf out of its mighty, majestic book ?
Beautiful imagery, expression and optimism in the words of this adaptly penned nature poem !

Why do we put people in charge of our destiny, then moan when they don't deliver.
Only people working together can change things.

It's mankind that is primarily at odds with nature. The animal world is a better place now I feel.

you are so right, Pat. While we might not agree with all things the politicians have to say, someone is going to win the Presidential election and we are going to have to put our trust in that person. We must try to understand one another and accept each other even with all our differences. Your compassionate personality shines through every line of this one, Pat. Wonderful. Lydi**

This piece is utterly soothing and discerning, such a beautiful sentiment so eloquently spoken. I wasn't sure what to expect from the title, it's a match made in heaven.

'.. as birds to sing their songs of - hope and peace when the storm clouds gather... '
There's true insight in your poem: a mix of gentleness along with an awareness that there's been an inflicted abandonment of calm respect and true affection of and in the world about. If only the innocence we once knew wore the mantle it should, how life has altered in the interim. One can only hope, pray.. and wait.
A very fine poem, full of thought carefully placed.. rather a two.way conversation from both sides of a spectrum of mixed meanings.,
