Gathering Violets

A path of memories guides my life as the weather changes from sunny to thunder clouds and hidden doubts...

On a calm and sunny day with basket in hand 

I walk on a garden path of uncertainty  

Violets smile and calm my fears... 

The chirping of birds in a cherry tree 

sing lovely songs of beauty and love 

Violets smile and wipe my tears... 

Neighbors walk by my house and wave 

as butterflies sip nectar from hibiscus 

Violets smile and peace remains...

dear Bill, today an ivory daffodil blossomed
beside the violets. The yellow center of the daffodil
smiled on the dancing violets and the white blossoms
of the cherry tree floated down like a celebration of
