To experience thunder snow for the
first time is a revelation of nature
enveloping me in passionate wisps of
excitement...leaving me entangled in
droplets of ice and frosty brass horn kisses.
I love lemon meringue sunshine mornings...
and I love you with your tender sky blue eyes
where a world of delicious secrets lie
on feathered pillows destiny...
You heal my wounded heart
with songs of love and laughter...
where rivers run to oceans deep
and angels in willows weep
in tangled honeysuckle vines...
Wild geese dance the minuet
against silver skies of memories...
where passions dwell and
Lovers forever sail on
clouds of dreams come true...
Whitewater waves roam about
looking for the perfect storm of
Thunder Snow sounds of beauty...
as the heavens sing Hallelujah
to winds of love's desire...
Amen...
'Thunder Snow'
Patricia Wedel,
How darling this is! Symphonies of creation's lilting
heart songs give meaning to these, your words.
Ah love, how can we find the ways to be thankful.
Your poem sings of thankfulness!
'Wild geese dance the minuet
against silver skies of memories..
where passions dwell and
Lovers forever sail on
clouds of dreams come true..'
Bless you!

I actually heard thunder in a snowstorm that we had a few years ago as we were driving along the Rappahannock River in our city of Fredericksburg, Virginia. It was awesome. So glad you discovered my poem from a year ago or more. I think this has to be my favorite that I was inspired to create. Thank you Kathy for finding a poem with fond memories. truly, Pat

My dear Pat, your words are exquisite, in bliss of better loving, living, seeing and all beliefs...
On my early morning here in Europe, I make a slight dance of happiness, to celebrate this fine writing.
I would give you my hand, to do an European dance, in the feeling of bliss. I feel it here too, my musical poetess, you dance with words, you reach beyond, and you let us all feel, how Hungary lives through your veins.
There is almighty too, which I do love in your words, you are a blessed soul, and I hug you my friend, thank you for sharing this wonderful pearl of live, living..... amen.

My fathers entire family was born in Hungary, except my
father who was born in the United States of America.
I have discovered that gypsy music runs in my blood.
I adore the music of Vienna. My Mother played Strauss
waltz's in her Restaurant. Poetry is inspiration like a
soft breeze through the willows. Thank you for the dance.

Oh, you had me with that first line, I love lemon meringue, but lemon meringue sunshine, divine! Put a smile on my face even before my first sip of coffee, now that's nearly impossible. Love the title too, by the second stanza my heart was all warmed aglow. What a perfectly lovely way to start the day, I can think of none better, exquisite Pat.

Thank you kindly. You are welcome...:0................
"feathered pillows destiny"....what a great poetic phrase that is, Pat. Dreamy and magical! I liked the rhyming...and I think I enjoyed it even more because it was not in a particular scheme....it was here and there. The romance is in every line...which is no surprise because you are certainly a romantic, my friend. A sort of serene prayer to nature and lovers everywhere. Yes, I can imagine hearing the thunder during a snowstorm would be a surprise...such a unique experience. Pat, when you write poetry, it carries me away on a magic carpet ride. Wonderful. Lydi**
