![]() Good BalanceA Story by Patricia Sims![]() Good Balance of Resume![]() There is a lot to be said about the dedicated worker. You may see fewer of this kind of person around but they still exist. These are the quiet bodies who sit at their desks, toiling away at the mundane daily tasks, believing in the impact of their role in the big wheel of things. There is also a lot to be said about the dedicated worker who can take a step back and rest. Burn out is a real danger with those who work hard all day long, all the time. And that is one rapid way to get derailed on the road to bigger and better things. Present your boss and company with a good balance- a dedicated hard worker who is present and focused in the office but who can take the time off to rest and enjoy life as well. This is the kind of worker who produces good work consistently. The medical field is a wide one. A lot of people may be surprised but there really is a lot to do in the medical field other than become a doctor or dentist. yes, these are two very important jobs that are always needed. We cannot have enough doctors and dentists, for sure. But there are other players in the game, other cogs that make the wheel turn. Registered nurses, caregivers, technicians, engineers, lab folks, you name them and chances are they are there, unrecognized. If you want to work in the medical field but do not necessarily want to be a doctor or dentist, there are so many other roles to choose from. Creating a good medical resume can get you in the door. Make sure to highlight your skills and training. If you have experience, put that in as well. The back office jobs rely as heavily on skill as the doctor and dentist roles so do not scrimp on showcasing everything you know. Continuously learning and adding to your skill sent and experience will make you even more eligible for other medical jobs.
