*Dear Diary*

*Dear Diary*

A Poem by Patricia Hernandez
"

I apologize, my diary, I know you're not real. Yet here I write to you my most sincere confession, I hope you'll forgive me...

"
Dear Diary, I know not of what to write,
I can go from reciting a poem,
To revealing my dream at night,
I know you're just a book,
But you hold my deepest worries,
If someone were to look,
They would close you in a hurry,
Your thin pages hold my heavy feelings,
I did not mean to put this weight on your shoulders,
You see, My thoughts I'm always concealing,
Thank you for being my faithful holder,
Dear diary, I am not ashamed of you,
You were once beautiful,
So white and clean,
But my black ink has stained you,
I'm sorry, I'm dysfunctional teen,
My poetry is dark and weird,
Dear Diary, your pages, with ink, I have smeared
I hope you'll forgive me,
I am to blame for your content,
Dear Diary, Im so sorry,
I wish I could be more confident.
