"Reality"

A poem about the concept of reality from a lover's viewpoint

Darling, my dear, I love how the word 'reality' makes you shiver at the thought,

Because your imagination goes to infinity and beyond,

With that magical pencil,

You draw what is unseen,

And in your beautiful magical world,

Your reality are your dreams

Look at me with those eyes,

Of rusted steel and hidden sorrow,

Let me kiss you goodnight,

And wake you up early tomorrow,

You may have trouble sleeping,

But you're a dreamer at heart,

Always quiet, sometimes weeping,

You are a true work of art,

Finally, I just wish that somehow,

You'd share your gift with me,

Of not caring about the world,

And getting lost in your beautiful dream.
