The Lovers' Rocks

The Lovers' Rocks

A Poem by Aendraelyn Keibetsu

Little sweet mockingbird,

Breaking through the dawn,

Singing that sweet tune,

You’ll always have my heart.

Dear sweet lily,

Sitting in the pond,

Underneath the willow tree,

Our never-ending lies,

Now bring me to my knees.

Dear sweet breath,

ebbing away,

Just give me one more second,

So I can watch the cattails sway,

My dear sweet love,

Who has betrayed me,

In the afterlife,

I promise to let you be,

My blood stains this ground,

Your empty tears a broken sound

This world is silent,

Waiting for us to depart together.
