Colors

Colors

A Poem by Aendraelyn Keibetsu

The colors, said to be lucky,

which he believed, believed until

they ran together, ran black.

This new color, which never before

had he seen, enthralled him.

Enthralled, captured by the black,

by the shadows.

And then came a new color,

and an old one.

The silver first, led the red through,

and in their wake, for a moment,

just a moment,

he could see the rainbow on the other side,

a rainbow he needed to see again.
