Memory

Memory

A Poem by Sophie B.
"

Nostalgia is not as innocent as it seems.

"

Nostalgia is a beast that can eat you alive

Longing for a future that will never arrive

Craving so much to turn back the clock

But time is a demon that never will stop

I remember the safety of your embrace

At that moment I could not think of more secure place

I remember the feeling of your lips on mine

And the shivers that it sent down my spine

I remember you holding me when I cried

In you I knew I always could confide

So many memories float around in my brain

If I dwelled on them, they could drive me insane

But I can find love again

And I do not and will not care when
