Lost

Voices screaming
That to my dismay
Are always mine
Persistent they are
For I can never run far
Away from their haunting cries
Like sick lullabies
Lulling me to sleep
Pulling me into darkness
The deep dark darkness
Where no one can hear me
Where no one can find me
I will never see the light again
Hours I spend
Trying to heal
No matter how long
Will never mend
My broken mind
I will never find
Peace and happiness
Lost to this world
Tied down in another
I wander around
Searching for freedom
But to no avail
I am in the realm of the dead
