Cemetery Opening

Cemetery Opening

A Poem by Pathetically Beautiful
"

I saw this picture of a cemetery... So I wrote what I saw in it.

"

Eyes closed
Sensation aroused
Dull colors of neglected time
A distant arch holding freedom
The entry path weathered by time
Among the view, forgotten life
faded fates chiseled out by time
White tears layer the ground
holding a permanent chill
layering forgotten names of lonely souls
A whisper in the still death
a moan of the lifeless breath
Trees, black with emptiness
stand as watch towers
leaving withered root to grow
they shade the grey skies
who cry like ice-wishes upon the arch of freedom
Through the test of truth you enter the opening
past the lies
into the trial
fighting your way among the lost
the forgotten names
closer...
Littered graves
calling on scattered dream forgot
into the white opening of hope
Beyond...
Life
Death
A cemetery of last openings...

I see a cemetry with snow on its ground....With tress covering the peremeter...I also see beneath the ground where the dead awaits I feel there pain of not belonging to our world anymore...Your poem was amazing!

I'm seeing an empty cemetary with faded tombstones on an overcast day. "...a moan of the lifeless breath.." and just the phrase "littered graves" are personally my favorite. Very nice write. Thanks for sharing. God Bless.
