I Sing of my Love for Madonna*

I Sing of my Love for Madonna*

A Poem by Patches I'm not so new anymore.
"

A Song by the Traveling Troubadour

"

I would not like to live again

This life I’ve lived thus far.

No, I definitely do not pine

For what has gone before.

I have come through lives,

lives I have lived long past.

Yet of all the lives that I have lived

thus far this is by far the saddest.

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

In my one of lives of long ago

I lived happy and secure

A poet was I of great renown

With a love for Madonna that desired no cure.

My songs of amour none could surpass.

Courtly ladies did swoon and gentles did sigh

as they whispered my words to lovers they sought

when I sang the ecstasies of le petit mort!*”

*Madonna = my lady

*the “little death”
