Gleams of Candlelight

Gleams of Candlelight

A Poem by Patches I'm not so new anymore.
"

A poem in the troubadour style

"

Like...
gleams of candlelight
through a wine dark decanter
so too are my lady's eyes.

Moonlight
on midnight waters...
pales next to the luster
of my lady's hair.

Cherubim...
in song around God's throne
cannot equal
the dulcet tones
of my lady's voice.

The glint of summer sun...
on sparkling waters
cannot rival the brightness
of my lady's smile.

The sheen of silk in firelight
fades to nothing...
next to the lambent glow
of my lady's skin.

Very simply and elegantly stated...this adoration of your love. Your voice is quite clear and beautiful in this piece...this style suits you. Nicely done.

Very elegantly written. Simple, clear adoration beautifully stated. To me, this is your best one yet. Nicely done, my friend.
