Memories of a Love that should have Been Eternal

Memories of a Love that should have Been Eternal

A Poem by Patches I'm not so new anymore.
"

The Troubadour has lost his Lady to a natural Disaster

"

Companeros,*

Please

No accompaniment

now is not the time

Allow mine mandolin

to weep this final song alone.

Let the shards of memory fall

as did the castle tower of madonna**

let the shards of memory fall as mine

tears do fall for a love that should

have been eternal.

She is gone, madonna hast left an empty

space in mine heart mine wails, strident now

repeat her name calling out to no avail, She is gone

Dirges echo from the cavern of mine heart,

where thoughts of her fragment, break apart to float

away in a tempest of tears.

Mine heart keens, cries out it's hurt

Chants of bereavement resound, repeat, echo

through a universe no longer complete.

Accompanied by the sound of the shattering

of a mandolin, for music no longer holds

a place in mine world!

* Companeros= Companions

** Ma donna = my lady

This seems to speak directly to the heart. Anyone who has lost a true love can relate, wether through some disaster or through; in my case; ignorance. I think about her from time to time and wonder; what if... There was something beautiful about this piece of work. Thanks.
