I Only Rest

I Only Rest

A Poem by Patches I'm not so new anymore.
"

A fantasy inspired by the movie "The Ghost & Mrs Muir"

"

I am not dead

I only rest.

Come Love, sit on the stone

No, I insist dear, please, be my guest.

Yes, this is our tomb

see our name carved there?

The "e" I think is neat,

stylish with that Olde

English flair.

However my Love

I lie not within---

No! I am in the rush of blood

that through your heart does flow.

Yes I am in the heart of you

This my dearest, this I know.

I am in the summer sun the

spring mists, the rain---

wetting your hair

 running down your throat

warm as a kiss. I am the

moon's shadow on midnight snow.

I am the eagle's flight,

the songbird's note,

your dream at night;

the song in your throat.

My Eyes are stars watching you now,

my breath the gentle breeze

that cools your brow.

Dearest, do not sit on the stone and weep

I am not within nor do I sleep

I beg of you do not cry---

I am with you forever dear

I did not die.

Quelle beauté à l'intérieur de vos paroles, il rend le cœur pleure des larmes sur les rivières de la brise tiède.

I so loved that movie. One of my favorites.

A lovely poem. I loved that movie and being a hopeless romantic, wanted to have my own ghost lover for years after--

This makes my heart take flight. A lover soothing his/her Amor at what is felt as a great loss and he or she saying I will always be with you. Achingly lovely.

She is every where because she is free from the confines of mortal flesh and she lives because he keeps her in his heart. Very beautiful write about love and missing a love one that we keep with us in our hearts and memory.
