Ode to Maid Marian

Ode to Maid Marian

A Poem by Patches I'm not so new anymore.
"

Another poe about "The Lady of the Forest" and her Greenwood beau

"

Dawn's dusky rose...

mists of smoky blue

meld--- join in Sherwood's deeps

thus the legend grew.

Of Marian... fair Mayday queen

 and of Robin, Greenwood king

strolling in the dawning

amidst spring'spring's new flowering.

Marian 'neath  the budding oak;

soft through the mists thine song takes wing

echos deep in emerald glenn

bounds o'er babbling spring.

Thou art May with midnight hair

lips of rowan-berry hue

Morning's glory sparks in thine eyes

as thee greets thy greenwood beau.
