A Song to my Muse, My Lady

A Song to my Muse, My Lady

A Poem by Patches I'm not so new anymore.
"

"

Aglow art thou with love so human

Who wouldst dare to break thy spell

Thy dark eyes that burn and bless

captured in my imagination.  I yearn for thee.

Thine eyes keep me in thy power,

eyes that speak of love sublime

eyes that keep me long in tharldom

eyes that drown me in their depths.

Peace my poetess/ priestess peace

cease thy siren's song oh cease

in the depths thine eyes of fire

clense my soul, grant me rest

Peace to thee my poetess/ priestess

 I thy troubadour am still

my voice, my mandolin are mute

my heart, my mind dwell beneath thy spell.
