To My Heart's Queen

To My Heart's Queen

A Poem by Patches I'm not so new anymore.

A poem in the Troubadour Mode by "The Traveling Troubadour"

"

Lady these vers I write for thee.

If thou like, it is for thee to keep,

to read, whenever it pleases thee to do so.

For in my heart I have sworn undying

fidelity unto thee.

my heart holds thee above all other women

save the Blessed Virgin. To my mind there

is thought for none save thee, thus do I so speak

to thee with poetic words--- for simple words

are ill equipped to convey all that is in my heart.

In this , my poem to thee, I dare ask for thy love

It need not be a love between lovers

although indeed that

is my most fervent desire.

For I will be content to gather roses,

or neddles or weeds unto my

bossom as long as thou art with me

in a garden we may call our own.

But the love of a true friend for a true friend

A love like that between siblings...

Nay even deeper--- a love between womb-mates

engendering sublime trust between thee and me

an inborn knowledge knowing without doubt

that one would give their all for the other.

My love for thee is as constant as the seasons,

as burning as the stars. As bright, as beautiful as

a cloudless sunrise is my love for thee.

I pray it never becomes a beautiful sunset.

I love no other as I love thee, soul-mates

we were meant to be from birth through eternity.

I wait impatient for the day we are joined together

 for that one eternal moment.
