I Wish

I Wish

A Poem by Patches I'm not so new anymore.
"

none

"

I wish I could write at the drop of a hat
I wish I could play a mandolin like that
I wish I were thinner, not as fat
I wish I were A minor and not B flat.

I wish I were with you every day
I wish I could watch as you bloom in May
If wishes were horses beggars would ride
If wishes were reality I’d be at your side.

I wish you were near but you’re far away
Wishes are but wishes, that’s all I can say
I wish I were there, I wish you were here
I wonder… do you wish  the same my dear?
