Gone n present

Gone n present

A Poem by That one kid

i ran over the hills, and swam the water
i thought the thoughts i once pondered
i climbed the trees, flew in the clouds
my feet now off the ground

senses disappearing
no longer fearing
time is of the essence
no longer in my present

memories fleeting
not positive i wasnt dreaming
was i even feeling
the fire was burning

or so i thought
but honestly?
i just feel distraught
the reason why
i havent got

i fell from the sky and hit the ground
i came back to where i once felt under attack
i took a breath and ate my dinner
im somewhere so unclear yet so familiar

I love this! Your poem makes me think a lot. It has a good rhythm. I loved your imagery. I'm curious about your lower case i's. I think it adds to the poem. Do we value ourselves so little on the ground that we do not deserve to be capitalized? Is the sky so far off and imaginary that when our fantasies are over, we plummet back down? Great job! I love it!
