always remember you remembered me

always remember you remembered me

A Poem by Richard

YOU were forced to grow older as your dreams came true you breathed in with gust after gust

you sent them a letter, and they knew

your caretaker your new mother your aunt and half brother

said everything would be fine, might as well had been in another language, but they heard the news

that there's some magic left in here

your boxed in life, looking off at trouble out there

but it would never be you

who rides away from your thoughts just to please them

finds the stairs way up to winter's attic

spirals out of control

you're patient, says your diploma in everything til now

still you can soundproof or bulletproof the whole great big sun by sundown

a sea of wild crime and creation, the specks on your chest

your ancestors the pods that scratch at your fin

they need you, your vast imagination, where they once had lived in

they come calling, not meaning to scratch

you tear them away, but they're not the rash

they can't be

and you can't swim without them

but i'm just a rumor in a room full of haze

I know nothing

but i always remember you remembered me

and i'm truly amazed

Awesome poem, man. It flowed really nicely. Full of meaning...and unique.
I noticed your 'I' are all uncapitalised, but it seems to me like that was deliberate and that's alright, as this poem appears to be directed at someone who means a hell of a lot to you.
So I kinda get it.
Great job :)
