compassion star (so loud so bright)

compassion star (so loud so bright)

A Poem by Richard

at christmastime

when all the trees gather

and the snow has no name

when all the bells ring with their music of choice

and our ears collect messages

and simply gather storms

like the coloring book back home

a girl and her drum and her heart full of padding

won't sniff goodbye

and become silver with age

moonbeams struck twice admonishing streets with some sadness behind the eyelids of nights like these where tomorrow's awake already dreaming a wondrous dream

she couldn't have read a better christmas poem

the present what she asked for is not what she got

an end to all shyness and superficial blessings, or just a book that means anything

or more sounds from the water when the frozen feelings of ice the cracked feelings of people meet down by the stream

all the christmas joy ever

without all the selfish plight

and a compassion star

to blend in with

or shine every day

until it's where it wants to be

bright.
