remember holly freestone?

remember holly freestone?

A Poem by Richard

remember holly freestone?
always looking out across the bay.

and skipping rocks record distances.
always listening in on her brother’s phone calls under his bedroom door.
always eating peaches.
maybe that’s where she got her name - because it wasn’t given at birth.

always eating peaches, yes, and with the stones still in them.
juice running down her mouth.
she was still very attractive.
but one of her nostrils was bigger than the other one.
good for snorting pixie stick dust.
the terrible thompson boys.
took great liberties with holly.
they once recorded her getting dressed on their new video camera.
and she secretly knew because she’d read Jake’s notebook in latin class.
it said “ha ha ha we’ll show her”
and they sure did ..
they sure did ..
until she showed them her tits.
one day behind church.
and they never bothered her again.
o, holly.
