wounded spirit finds a heart-shaped lightbulb

wounded spirit finds a heart-shaped lightbulb

A Poem by Richard

             And because it’s been dark
 ..can finally feel the light
At the end of grimm tunnel
Where, just yesterday an automobile accident caused a loss of breath in a wandering spirit
On it’s way to a party
we’ll call it a soiree
you’ll argue it ended at midnite

But really we were dripping off layers in that heat
Wishes, painted with dream brushes
And rainbow hands
Come alive
Grabbing at every star in sight
 Finally,  reaching one
So..
The spirit recovered
Bedraggled on the cragged shore rock

Out on the country, Beggartown Beach, Flamingo Vineyard

Splitting waves with tidal kindness

Spirit coughs
So..
We turn on our ears
