A Poem by Richard

I saw two lovers in the street in the middle of the day
Normally, it’s one lover in her room with nothing to say

Or a piano that needs someone to play
Two places come to mind ..
Paris, crowded with bikes
Wirral, crowded with clocks

I witnessed a miracle today - two birds - in a lookout tower building a home
carpenters, really
it was ironic - two birds - who can see anything they want but want just not to be seen
Fly anywhere! For free ..
But everyone has a home

and people who care about them
there’s no such thing as homeless
there’s just homes without people

and doors without locks
and a piano, somewhere in some dark room, without keys

Still, I keep thinking about those two lovers - two birds - that’s all
