What I love

What I love

A Poem by Richard

I love when I get that nice breeze in my shoe and my feet can finally breathe
I love when my shoe, after getting comfortably worn in, begins to talk
And I love when my arthritis is bad in my wrist and I think “This is silly, I’m too young to die!”
I just love it ..

I love when somebody plays with my hair because my scalp is on vacation
I love when I’m at the hairdresser and THEY play with my hair, and god forbid, they even wash it
And I love cooking because I’m at a wedding - of ingredients
I just love it..

I love Clifford T. Ward's rendition of Nightingale, fighting cancer all the way
I love that he sings, and so does his piano
And I love when I wake up and feel sad, because I know I can only get happy
I just love that ..

I love when the sun shines on my face and open sleeves, leaving sunspots
I feel like a banana, getting all brown, in a bowl, except I’m downtown ..

But most of all, I love when my 5 year old son tells me he has gum - "it's blue AND pink!"
