i told you later (don't wait before me)

i told you later (don't wait before me)

A Poem by Richard

Tipping my head in the bath

Laying, not sleeping
I won’t make that mistake again
How could I not?

     let that dream be interrupted

by a telephone?

No.

Various other people trying to sneak in to my underwater palace?
They wouldn’t feel the same

I imagine, as thick steam grabs at my body with the politeness of air and the comfort of now

That yeah,
I’m feeling manic
A tornado of bliss in the arms of a butterfly net..
I couldn’t leave ever!
a cooing angel knocking at the doors of neighboring brain cells asking to borrow pleasure
One cup of magic two HEAPING tablespoons of visions

That not only you can feel
but us
together

Spinning in a giant whirlpool
so delicate that the slightest moment could trigger a wave of uncertainty
and when the pleasure gods raise their warm cloud glasses
we can expect drips of love in the final hour

And then the parade of disappointment
when the water flows over
because you pulled the plug
