forest thoughts from abroad

forest thoughts from abroad

A Poem by Richard

The bike and the automobile fighting for the right of way.
You’ve got the car who wants to go! Right away, and the bike who wants out of the way.
The trees along the trail want to be left alone to breathe in silence.

Still, for they are the luckiest of all " they don’t NEED to exercise.
Spinning of the tires is the best form of road communication.
Squeaking of the cheeks is the best form of squirrel communication.
There are, of course, some people who believe that the road was built for human activity..
Then there are some who believe that the earth is quietly plotting its revenge.
Cultists mostly.
i.e the Church of Natural Restoration in Jasper Valley.
Mountains there with origins back to Dinosaur B.C.E
Mountains and fresh springs were used for waste disposal.
Sad really.
