The First Christmas

The First Christmas

A Poem by Dara

Long ago in Bethlehem
A tiny child was born
In a lowly stable he came to be
On that first bright Christmas morn.

Three wiseman followed a star that shone
Over the stable where he lay
And shepherds watching their flock by night
Were drawn by the heavenly display.

It led them to the place where Mary
Gave birth to this holy child.
His face reflecting that of his mother’s
So tender, meek and mild.

The world was forever changed that night
In darkness ne’er to dwell
And the Angels sang their songs of praise
For Christ the King, Emmanuel.

Hoping your new year will be full of promise and happier times. Take care, keep safe.-
