Just One WishA Poem by DaraFor all those fathers who are not here to celebrate Father's Day.If I could make just one wish I know that it would be, a wish to turn back the hands of time when you were here with me. To hear you sing your favorite songs while I sing harmony. If I could make just one wish how glorious it would be. If I could see your face again and hold it in my hands to see you smile and kiss your cheek, I’d walk a thousand miles. If only I had wings to fly I’d wish that they would send me souring high above the clouds beyond the rainbow’s end. Where moonbeams light up the sky and the river meets the sun with a chorus of angels dressed in white opening wide the gates of Heaven. Just one wish is all I’d ask to spend more time with you. To think that we could meet again would be a dream come true.
