A Mother's Love

A Mother's Love

A Poem by Dara
"

a tribute to my mom

"

A mother's love will never grow old.
It can penetrate your very soul.
Keep you warm when nights are cold,
give you strength, make you bold.

A mother's smile reflects a mother's love.
It will hold you close and never let go.
Delicate as the wings of a dove,
nothing compares to a mother's love.

I found this photo in an old album and was struck by the smile on her face. I had never seen a look quite like that on her before and had to write about it. She had to be the stern one in the family, I think, because my dad was always just a kid at heart :-)

This poem is a fine testament to a kind of love that is like no other. Having grown in their wombs, they give us life. Your mother looks quite pretty in the photo. My mother was the stern one and my father was a softie, much like yours.
