Did I not hear the wind whispering your name

or feel your lips steal a kiss in the warm summer rain?

Was it not you reflected in the pale moonlight

and in the stars that shone for us alone

on that clear autumn night?

Separated by mountains and valleys yet close in thought

your words are like diamonds that cannot be bought.

Bringing truth and clarity to ease a restless mind

'tis heaven on earth, a chance of rebirth

when two souls collide.

beautiful ...so calming and appreciative of something very precious .. sometimes i like to think of all things reduced to the same essence ..and so time and distance are obliterated ... your poem reminds me of that .. i don't quite understand the use of "nor" in your 2nd line .. it seems to want to be "or" ... or "and" or simply left out ;) reading also reminds me of how connected one can feel by reading the Bible ..or a favorite author/poet .. read "When Souls Collide" over because it makes me relax and take that fine cleansing breath we all need now and then :))
