Just To Be Near You

 

I love to watch you breathing as you gently fall asleep

your eyelids moving slightly as you dream a dream so sweet.

I snuggle up against you and murmur something low.

Just being near you is the best feeling I know.

 

I often glance to look your way, in the car or on the street

to see what you are thinking and my heart skips a beat.

I love your face, your soulful eyes,  your skin all aglow.

Just being near you is the best feeling I know.

 

If I could catch a falling star and put it in my hand,

I would give the star to you and the world at your command.

I could bask in the sunlight your presence would bestow.

Just being near you is the best feeling I know.

just beautiful ...one's commitment to another's joy and happiness in this world is it's own reward ... provided it is cherished of course ;) what lover can not relate to this scene you have painted so well ..smooth flowing ..easy reading .. warmly emotive ... like hot chocolate pudding and heavy cream :))) (haven't had breakfast yet ...can you tell)
