![]() Kentucky WindsA Poem by DaraI hear her voice as she beckons me with winds of change blowing wild and free. The rolling hills, a miner’s streaked face and thoroughbreds grazing on lush “blue grass”. Where the Hatfields and McCoys fought and died, families poor in possessions but rich in pride. And moonshine was made and sold in droves, the “mountain dew” of the state it’s liquid gold. The hills of Kentucky are calling me where winds of change blow wild and free.
