For such a tiny little thing, they are an incredibly complex organism. Spent some time in South America a while back and saw a number close up. Very beautiful, like Beccy says, they make you believe there truly is a higher hand at work.

I've never seen a hummingbird in real life; only ever via nature programmes.

They look so fragile, so beautiful, that surely they were created by a higher hand.

Yes Hummingbirds're amazing, I love the way they hover in mid-air at rapid wing-flapping rates. I only see them in the documentaries, we don't have them in Australia! Thanks for sharing with us on details of how they flit & sip the nectar. Cheers
