A Snake In My Shoe

Oh Lawd!

What should I do?

I woke up this morning with

a snake in my shoe.

 

I sputtered and fussed

‘til my face turned blue.

What a start to my day

with a snake in my shoe!

 

I stuffed it in a bag

  wiped my forehead,

 whew!

No longer did I have

a snake in my shoe.

 

But wait just a minute,

there might be two.

Could a mama snake be

in my other shoe?

 

A snake in my shoe,

a snake in my shoe.

I woke up this morning

with a snake in my shoe.

With some really good rhymes, you've got me chuckling again, Dara. Some people go bananas at the sight of a snake, and although I'm not one of those, I sure wouldn't like finding one in my shoe. Maybe this is why we should all go barefooted.
