Tender is the Night

Tender is the Night

A Poem by Dara

I feel the caress of a warm summer breeze

as it slips through my window.

With sleepy eyes and long deep sighs

I bask in the full moon’s glow.

My thoughts keep drifting to another time

when together we lay as one

and I yearn for the touch that I loved so much

when our love had just begun.

I can feel your presence, your scent still lingering

on the sheets where we first made love

but alas it seems we must meet in dreams

as you watch me from above.

Beautiful, dear Dara.
Saturated with the whispering strokes of your gentle words. Fortunate was your good man to be held in your arms, and fortunate still to be held in your collection of memories.

Dara,

This is a touching and tender piece you have penned here. The sorrow of losing someone you loved so deeply but the memories that help with the pain. Such a lovely and vivid piece that is expressed so well. I enjoyed reading this so very much.

Please send me read requests from you as I don't see them. I always look forward to your reviews as they are so thoughtful and insightful.
