Ode To Gingers

Ode To Gingers

A Poem by Dara

Hair that glistens shiny and bright

like sparkling diamonds in the morning light.

Glorious to the touch, a sight to behold

glamorous, stylish, beautiful and bold.

Oh to be a ginger so carefree and fun

  like a brand new penny

as  bright as any sun.

Strawberry blond, auburn, copper

nothing in this world will ever top her.

A ginger girl is full of vamp and vigor.

She’s every man’s dream, a fantasy figure.

Mixed with sugar and spice

you must add it twice

to get the perfect recipe

for everything

nice.

I wrote this awhile ago for my sister who has beautiful strawberry blonde hair. The image is of Maureen O'Hara one of my favorite actresses of all time.
