A Shooting Star

A Shooting Star

A Poem by Dara

A voice

crying in the wilderness

echoes through the hills.

We listen and mourn.

It cuts through

to our very bones

and then

like a shooting star

it vanishes into the

night sky.

Yes, that is a great interpretation. Thank you so much.
These souls who tried so hard for their voice to be heard when everything else was lost to them... profound.

Thank you. It is my hope their cries be remembered and not in vain.
Beautiful souls who didn't stand a chance in life... a heart-wrenching image to watch the sparkle in their eyes like the snuffing-out of a shooting star. A wonderful simile for a sad reality.
