Sister Moon

Sister Moon

A Poem by Dara
"

A poem about unconditional love.

"

Loving mother nature’s child

giving freely never idle;

sing to me your celebratory tune

of happier times, dear Sister Moon.

When children laughed and played all day

while we sat back and watched and prayed

with hands that caressed and held them close

and knew the love we wanted most.

 Loving mate and natural mother,

 one of them outweighs the other.

Our children’s love is what we need;

to watch them grow and then succeed.

While yearning for the ties that bind

we have their love, the richest kind.

So sing your song oh Sister Moon

and share with me your joyful tune.

You have delightfully penned the definition of mothers love. Beautiful images combined with rythm.
You are a treasure and always a delight to read

Such a melodic flow almost as if you were singing this as it as you were writing. Although, first line third stanza seemed a bit of a kink to me. Only line that left the stride. I though perhaps something as this "Loving mate you are yet more as natural mother"? The "but" to say that one could not be the other. You should submit this to the website "Firstpeople". It's an Native American site. I have several poems published there.

Your words flow so sweetly. The celestial beauty of the moon and the unmatchable love a mother gives her children is beautifully portrayed here. The rhyming is flawless. Lovely, Dara. Lydi**
