Inequality of Life

Inequality of Life

A Poem by Passionbyapathy

Why does vanity so often accompany death?
If I died tonight, would angels sing their pleasantries?
Would flowers and gentle words caress my gravestone?
Refusing to accept fate is the only path worth treading
Though there is a certain courage in being blind and oblivious.
The hope within our souls eventually trumps despair.
What is it about this ugly yet beautiful world,
That allows us to smile through a mask of tears?
Tomorrow is a day of uncertainties and inequalities,
Like the land we live in: illogically flawless.
Poetry of the soul isn’t a rhyme or riddle
It’s a language, a passion, a book waiting to be read.
That is the secret to this life.
Hope for tomorrow
Tomorrow, though improbable, will be better than today.
