A Child

A Child

A Poem by OnceUponATimeWriter

He’s crashing in the garden,

He’s stomping down the hall,

He’s thudding up the staircase,

He’s banging on the wall,

He’s whining that he’s hungry,

He’s moaning that it’s green,

He’s throwing it across the table,

He’s whinging that you’re mean,

He’s battling with Vader,

He’s sending aliens away,

He’s flying with superman,

He’s asking Mary-Jane to stay,

He’s copying your words,

He’s repeating them to day,

He’s nodding his head in agreement,

He’s crying cause your mad,

He’s running around the kitchen,

He’s sobbing when he falls,

He’s staring when you laugh at him,

He’s laughing cause he’s not hurt at all,

He’s shouting cause it’s bedtime,

He’s chucking off his covers,

He’s declaring that it’s still light,

He’s whispering to the others,

He’s snoring in his sleep,

He’s talking in his dreams,

He’s cuddling up to his teddy,

He’s waiting for the sunbeams.
