Sharm El Sheikh Morning MusingsA Poem by John Alexander McFadyenSo easy to relax and simply be.Musing Siting with a cup of black tea looking out as the sun’s rays begin to heat the Red Sea, I wonder if I am fully equipped to live a life in Egypt? Watching The Red Sea looks as calm as frosted glass, over the low-profile roofs of this hotel, and I can see across the bay a desert like shore where perhaps Bedouin used to dwell. Feeling The wind has the sea a-dance waves whipping up the sand making visibility poor, thus, snorkelling might not be good so I guess we’ll spend the day stretched out by the pool. Relaxing Then the dark clouds gathered and the sea swelled and lathered, soft drops of warm Egyptian rain to a backdrop of bar jazz’s refrain, where we all took our retreat, no wet sand upon our feet just piano café sounds and chatting, and the rain a pitter pattering; another day in paradise. 29/10/23 © 2023 John Alexander McFadyenReviews
