Crushed Flower

Crushed Flower

A Poem by John Alexander McFadyen
"

A damaged heart and a fragile soul.

"

You have the ocean

and its spray.

You have the sand

and the sun all day.

You have mischief

on your lips,

a sense of fun

that sways your hips.

You are bright

and so artistic,

your sensuality

sends men ballistic.

You are a catch

for any man

but only if they

catch, catch you if they can.

A moving target,

a spirit free,

your sexy form

a true queen bee.

But deep inside

a troubled heart

that crushes love

before its start.

When a heart is dead. Rarely come alive again John.
"But deep inside
a troubled heart
that crushes love
before its start."
The above lines can be facts. Thank you my friend for sharing the amazing poetry and your thoughts.

I liked this poem and you are welcome John.
Excellent poeting, Syr John☝

With the smooth flow of rhythm, rhymes that won't quit, imagery 'n emotion, a dire message to fit … you've painted the page with wonderment galore; then, crashed and dashed us 'pon your rock-laden shore.
Art and music choices befit the ambiance of your moment and ensuing mood to a tee, John … the whole, highlighting your never disappointing knack for keeping your fans coming back.

Both blissful and catastrophic, your penmanship tells a sad, poignant tale sooo very well! ⁓ Richard 🍃

I'm amazed at how such a light and happy poem turned dark in the blink of an eye. On the other hand, I know a lady like this.

Thanks for the awesome song too!

Thank you for your insights Kari and many thanks for reading.
What a beautiful poem. Crushed flowers who have suffered as a result of previous relationships are delicate. They are also wary understandably. Most build up barriers that may or may not stay in place. Free verse at its best, nicely descriptive and flowing. Good morning John.
