Re-sowing Seeds

Re-sowing Seeds

A Poem by John Alexander McFadyen
"

We have to believe in ourselves first!

"

Throw me to the wolves;

see if I care.

I am made of tougher meat

than they could ever devour.

I have steel in these veins,

boiling hot blood

flows through this

rock hard heart of stone.

I have seen many battles,

taken many blows,

I carry more scars than

the face of the moon.

And yet I survive;

I rise above the deceit

of man.

Plough my own furrow

as I stare Satan down

and trample on every

false god there ever was.

And I will be me.

I will be free from the burden

of original sin,

free to reach for the stars

and spread my quarks

across the universe

so that I shall live on

and on and on.

Hello Lydi, Nice to see you again. Many thanks.
Your message is stated with resounding power and I'm sure many would love to follow this course, as if we could skip over the big mess people have made of this world, striking out for our own independent success. I see this attitude (displayed by your narrator) to be the root of the very evil & debauchery he/she intends to escape. This planet is too small & too full to leave behind the struggling throngs & seek one's own success on a singular path. This is what I meant by having the three pigs (in my poem) overlooking/ignoring devastation while celebrating their own survival & potential for wealth. I'm kinda thinking you might've written this to be tongue-in-cheek satire becuz of the way you escalate the strong-person rah-rah tone of conquering here . . . whenever you take a good thing a little too far, that's my clue there's a rat hiding in your message (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

A determined battle cry here. If we don't believe in ourselves, who do we believe in? Words said with conviction. A powerful piece.

Agreed Chris, agreed. Many thanks.
We live in a sky that is wise where dreams are wrapped in moonbeams. The sunsets rest until the dawn and we are drawn to eventides when Ships sail to the edge of the earth. We are stronger than the Bear in Heavens sphere. truly, Pat

Wise words Pat Many thanks.
What a powerful message here John. We are indeed free when we discover our true selves, submit to the will of the one and only not the two or three or any other no, rid ourselves of falsehoods and false Gods, embrace oneness, unity and peace. Wise sir.

You are welcome sir John.
This is super motivational, at many times I doubted myself if I will ever be enough for the path I took, but situations just surprise me sometimes that I end up getting far ahead by just doing it one day at time. We always long for perfection when life has polished us well enough. Thanks for this.

I think this a concept a younger generation cannot understand in full. Just because someone is peaceable and kind doesn't mean they are not at the ready for whatever comes their way. 'Let sleeping dogs lie,' is a saying for a reason:)
