A Poem by John Alexander McFadyen
"

Emotions are the ink we buy in bulk!

"

I hang upon words,

my head is full of sorrow,

my heart full of hope.

Very nice use of words and thoughts John. Most of us, hang on a thread of a word. Thank you for sharing the amazing poetry.

Thank you Cherrie. Yup I agree entirely.
So true. A heart full of hope and a head full of sorrow is what flows out of us. Beautifully penned.

Thank you FKK, indeed it fills our pens.
Lovely piece.

If not for the hope and sorrow this voice would have little to say and we'd have little to digest.

Indeed tis the same for most artists, especially poets. Many thanks.
Wonderfully expressed Senryu, John, and one that poets understand. Mankind's greatest invention was writing, which we know only too well. The head may be full of sorrow, but the heart always has a spark of hope. We put pen to paper mostly for ourselves...an appreciation of poetry is gained from reading good poetry.

A good write.

My pleasure!
As long as the heart is full of hope, that's what counts. Lose the hope and you are in trouble. Much said here John about us poets.

This is really good, there is always hope and sorrow, debating which one to choose is up to us. I enjoyed this piece

Indeed hope and sorrow are bedfellows. Many thanks Choosen.
When the head is full of sorrow the situation can still be borne. When the heart is full of sorrow, things can get badly out of hand. The lives of many poets attest to this.

Indeed they do JTB. So many poets with dark pasts and sad ends. Thank goodness I am not a 'real' poe.. read more
this is about a real poet, John.
Not just one who writes poetry, but one who reads as well...Poets read other poets just a little differently than most non-poets do.
