SeascapeA Poem by John Alexander McFadyenSeascape painting by Alexander ShenderovI feel like the bait on a hook, on a line, on a rod, cast into a sea of troubles over and over again as it boils in anger, with the vengeance of trident wielding gods. Huge waves crashing like
thunder upon the sandy shores of every disaster that has ever been known to human
kind. There is no king on earth who could hold this tide back as it sweeps relentlessly, like a pack of blood thirsty zombies, to overwhelm me time and time again. Hoping for calm, I simply stand there, defenceless and naked, on dry land, staring out at the ocean, watching the horizon as my footprints are obliterated. 26/03/19 © 2019 John Alexander McFadyenAuthor's NoteReviews
