What is real and what is not?

She Who Stood Off

After so many

beautiful years,

so many beautiful words,

you remain

hidden.

behind the heavy velvet

drapes of the internet.

I hear you whisper,

from those depths,

your voice is soft,

enticing,

laced with the gentleness

of splendid lips,

come-to -bed eyes,

of pert breasts,

soft flowing skin,

hips and thighs

alive with

seduction.

And I am snared,

caught,

hook, line and sinker.

But you will not leave

that shelter.

The curtain hiding

not only your modesty

but your being,

leaving me

in turmoil,

wondering why?

Why one so expressive

with words

cannot turn them

into deeds of love.

Until recently I had never experienced or believed in long distance relationships. But with honesty and openness from Day 1, all things are possible.
