The Diurnal Variation of a Poetess

The Diurnal Variation of a Poetess

A Poem by John Alexander McFadyen
"

Some people simply deserve love.

"

The Diurnal Variation of a Poetess

No dreams upon your pillow,

but solace found

in the confessional,

the self examination

of a pure sweet breast

under darkness black cloak,

where sleep eludes

such a bare

and lonely soul.

Beautiful,

midnight blue words

spill in angel dust

from ruby lips

to coat the earth,

and all of our hearts

in your nectar.

And I pray,

nay beg my maker,

to deliver you

to the love you

so richly deserve.

Absolutely one of the best titles I have encountered on here.
The vocabulary is rich and rewarding.
Wishing love for another poet is a beautiful thing.
Well done John.

Thank you Tony. Indeed there are a few here this might relate to.
Gentle and wonderful words shared my friend. I liked the want and the need of this words. Thank you John for sharing the amazing poetry. Feel of hope and a prayer in your words.

Thank you Coyote. Everyone deserves love but some who really deserve it often find it elusive.

About
Well, have a long and complicated story and started it as an autobiography on Bebo but got writer's block/memory fogging. People liked it though and kept asking for the next chapter! fools.. more..
